RESERVED Antique Art Deco Diamond and Sapphire Marquise Shaped Ring

$0.00
sold out

This is an exceptionally fine high Art Deco ring dating to c.1926. Although lacking hallmarks, its craftsmanship indicates its likely French origin. It’s an elegant antique ring featuring a marquise shaped cartouche holding five Old European Cut diamonds. The diamonds are fiery and radiant, exhibiting the wonderful qualities found in antique diamonds: open culet, broad facets, and tall, chunky crown. Accenting and contrasting the diamonds are fine, deep, vivid blue calibre baguette cut sapphires. The Rinceau detail of the pierced decorative gallery is breathtaking in its own right. Finely handcrafted with symmetry and balance, this ring is an extraordinary work of art. It would make an incredible engagement ring or an unforgettable anniversary present.

In excellent antique condition, showing wear consistent with age and use. Gently cleaned and ready to wear. The ring box is for display only. An independent appraisal is included with the purchase.

Antique and vintage jewelry are sold as is. They are pre-owned and will bear signs of wear commensurate with their age, which may or may not have been stated in the product description. Metal surfaces could have light marks or scratches, and rings may be out of round. The stones, too, could have surface wear or sometimes chips. Evidence of repair could also present itself as imperfections, due to the general techniques and instruments available at the time. If I had been made aware that a stone was replaced and/or the piece was restored in any way, I would disclose that information in the product description.
