Antique Diamond Pendant: A Classic in 18k Yellow Gold
This classic diamond pendant features a beautiful antique diamond in a mellow, warm color that glows with excellent clarity. Its prismatic faceting has the chunky checkerboard look that is associated with ‘Transitional Cut’ diamonds. Set with delicate prongs and finished with a finely engraved bale, this pendant captures everything we love about antique diamonds. Ageless and timeless, you’ll appreciate this little big jewel every time you wear it.
The exquisite pendant is newly handcrafted for Jewels Of Yesteryear. The 'Transitional Cut' diamond bridges the Old European and the modern Brilliant cuts, thriving during the brief period in diamond history between the 1920s and the 1950s. As a result, Transitional Cuts are relatively scarce. GIA does not have a category for this cut because of its characteristics, which often overlap with those of Old European and Round Brilliant diamonds.
In new condition. Box and chain for display only; not included with purchase.

Antique and vintage jewelry are sold as is. They are pre-owned and will bear signs of wear commensurate with their age, which may or may not have been stated in the product description. Metal surfaces could have light marks or scratches, and rings may be out of round. The stones, too, could have surface wear or sometimes chips. Evidence of repair could also present itself as imperfections, due to the general techniques and instruments available at the time.
