Antique Edwardian Ruby and Diamond Ring
An authentic antique English Edwardian five stone ring with the boat shaped head holding five cushion cut rubies in a vibrant shade of pinkish red. Though very small, the old cut diamonds that dot along the top and bottom of the line of rubies are nothing short of sparkling. The setting is a classic style of the late Victorian Era, ca.1890 - open claw set or the so called “London Bridge” setting, named as such for resembling the stone arches of the old London Bridge. Its finely open carved gallery of “arches” draws light to reach the stones from under them, casting a lovely warm glow to the ring. Crafted in 18k yellow gold, the ring has acquired a deep golden patina that complements the gemmy glow. Sitting low on the finger, it is a comfortable, perfectly stackable half hoop band that would work great as an engagement, wedding, or an anniversary band.
In excellent antique condition with light wear. Gently cleaned and ready to wear. Presentation box for display only and not included in the ring purchase.
