Antique Georgian Rare Natural Saltwater Pearl Half Hoop Ring
This Georgian era c.1825 half hoop ring features gorgeous natural pearls that graduate in size. The luminous cream white pearls are well matched, with an iridescent shimmer and a beautiful deep luster. Their reflections are clear and sharp. The ring is in its original Georgian setting with a scalloped cut down collet. It has a closed back. A fine reeding around the band adds a lovely touch. Sitting low on the hand, the pearl band is not only comfortable but also makes an ideal stacking partner. Natural saltwater pearls were just as rare back in the early 19th century as they are today. This ring is of exceptional quality and craftsmanship—an antique jewelry collector’s dream, heirloom-worthy, and very special.
In excellent antique condition. Lightly cleaned and ready to wear. Ring box and other stacked rings for display only, not included with the ring purchase.
◆Materials: Natural pearls, 18k yellow gold
◆Gems: 5 natural saltwater pearls 5.0mm-3.7mm
◆Independent valuation report included
◆Size: Leading edge US 7.75 (not recommended for resizing due to reeding pattern on the band)
◆Measurements: ring face 19mm (length) x 5.7mm (center width) x 4.6mm (height);
◆Weight: 4.1g
Antique and vintage jewelry are sold as is. They are pre-owned and will bear signs of wear commensurate with their age, which may or may not have been stated in the product description. Metal surfaces could have light marks or scratches, and rings may be out of round. The stones, too, could have surface wear or sometimes chips. Evidence of repair could also manifest as imperfections, given the techniques and instruments available at the time.
