They are beautifully faceted and match perfectly in vibrant violet purple. The ring has a closed back. The entire ring, including the faceting of the amethysts, would have been handworked. Aesthetic influences from the earlier Georgian period are evident in this early Victorian piece. Crafted in rich 18k gold, its cut-down collet setting, pommel-detailed gallery, and reeded band represent some of the aesthetic choices of the earlier period.
