Antique Victorian Ruby and Old Mine Double Row Diamond Ring

$1,195.00

This authentic antique Victorian diamond and ruby ring draws you in with its beautiful, crisp contrast between the red rubies and the Old Mine diamonds. It’s an irresistible combination. The rubies are medium pinkish red, the color of raspberries, well saturated with good clarity, and the diamonds are also well matched, eye clean with bright sparkles. The ring is crafted in 10k yellow gold, with lovely details of scrolls on the shank. The setting is a classic style of the late Victorian Era, ca.1890 - open claw set or the so called “London Bridge” setting, named as such for resembling the stone arches of the old London Bridge. The double row gemstone design from this period can be spotted occasionally, although it is less common than the single row gemstone design. Sitting low on the finger, it is a comfortable, perfectly stackable band.

In excellent antique condition with only light wear. The inside of the band looks to have lost its original hallmarks with sizing over the years. Gently cleaned and ready to wear. Presentation box for display only and not included in the ring purchase.
