Antique Victorian Velvety Blue Sapphire with Rose Cut Diamond Daisy Ring

$1,595.00

This lovely ring, c.1880, has all the attributes we look for in an antique ring. A pretty old hand-cut sapphire is in the center, and a Rose Cut diamond surrounds it. It’s a beloved classic setting interchangeably called a cluster, daisy, or halo ring. The sapphire is an oval cushion cut in a gorgeous shade of medium velvety blue. The diamonds shimmer like the sunlight reflecting on a lake, and the contrast of the colors is equally breathtaking. The crowning attribute of this ring is its hand-etched scrolls that cascade down from the shoulders. This ornamental detail makes this Victorian era (1837-1901) ring exceptionally beautiful.

In excellent antique condition showing wear consistent with age and use. Gently cleaned and ready to wear. The ring box is for display only and is not included in the purchase.
