Exceptional Antique Burmese Ruby and Rose Cut Diamond Cluster Ring

$4,975.00

This antique ring from the Edwardian era, c.1910, features one of the best quality rubies that has ever passed my desk. Set in a classic cluster setting, also known as the Daisy, the fine deep vivid “pigeon’s blood” red ruby is internally flawless. It is Burmese origin, giving it a highly sought after provenance. The shimmery Rose Cut diamond surround completes this wonderfully timeless ring. The open metalwork in the gallery enables light to illuminate the stones from beneath. We often find mixed metals in antique and vintage jewelry, and we think the white gold top on this ring was most likely a later replacement done in the likeness of the original. It is mounted on a warm, 18k yellow gold. The cluster style is always popular as an engagement ring. Our gentle, regal beauty would be perfect for that, as well as for any other excuse you may want to make up! Sitting low on the finger, it’s ideal for daily wear.

In excellent antique condition. Lightly cleaned and ready to wear. Ring box for display only and not included in the ring purchase.

Antique and vintage jewelry are sold as is. They are pre-owned and will bear signs of wear commensurate with their age, which may or may not have been stated in the product description. Metal surfaces could have light marks or scratches, and rings may be out of round. The stones, too, could have surface wear or sometimes chips. Evidence of repair could also manifest as imperfections, given the general techniques and instruments available at the time.
