This vintage English half hoop features bright, beautiful Kelly-green gemstones called green Beryls. If these green Beryls had a higher level of chromium, a naturally occurring trace chemical element, they would be called emeralds. The ring is set in a classic English Victorian-style open claw-set half hoop and would make a wonderful anniversary or wedding band; its graduated shape makes it very stackable.
The ring is in excellent vintage condition. Gently cleaned and ready to wear. The box in the picture is not included with the purchase.
◆Materials: 18k Yellow Gold, Green Beryls
◆Measurements: Ring face 17.6 x 6.4mm x 4.2mm (h)
◆Size: US 6.25 (sizable with care to avoid hallmarks)
◆Hallmarks: ‘750’ for 18k; Birmingham Assay symbol, anchor; and maker’s mark
Antique and vintage jewelry are sold as is. They are pre-owned and will bear signs of wear commensurate with their age, which may or may not have been stated in the product description. Metal surfaces could have light marks or scratches, and rings may be out of round. The stones, too, could have surface wear or sometimes chips. Evidence of repair could also present itself as imperfections, due to the general techniques and instruments available at the time.
